Thermo Fisher Scientific Label Control Specialist - 2nd Shift in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Job Description

Position Summary:

Maintain control of printed materials including labels, instructions for use, etc. Coordinate and perform assigned tasks to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the company.

  • Perform label control operations to complete label requests

  • Identify and report non-conformance material with the appropriate means

  • Maintain material/label standards

  • Maintain Inventory Control of labels

  • Maintain the 5S program in the label control area

  • Participate in Practical Process Improvement teams

  • Provide support to meet department and company objectives

  • Compliance with all company policies and procedures (safety, regulatory, etc.).

  • Perform set-up, basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment, workstation, and work area. Printer set-up and basic cleaning and maintenance (call in repair jobs, maintenance work orders)

  • Cross-train with QA Inspectors as needed

  • Specific Job Related Training Required

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical and cGMP environment a major plus

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Familiar with MS Office

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Must be detail and quality oriented

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Organizational skills

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude

  • Familiarity with FDA Code of Federal Regulations

  • Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and be able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously

  • ISO 13485 knowledge preferred

  • Ability to lift, push and/or pull, up to 50 lbs

  • Must read, write, and speak fluent English
