The Senior Specialist position has responsibility for the sustainment of the Above Market Financial processes. This includes the Actuals Close and Consolidation process as well as the Financial Planning process done at the Regional and HQ level. Within this role, the position will use their accounting/finance knowledge to gain a greater understanding of the end-to-end Accounting to Reporting Process, Financial Planning Process and the process surrounding Master Data Management of Financial Data. The incumbent will gain exposure and work closely with such tools as Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), Financial Data Management (FDM), Financial Tool Kit (FTK), BRIDGES (BPC) and the Financial Sharing Area (FSA). The position will help support master data (Chart of Accounts, Legal Entities, Organizations, Products, etc.), validation rules, business logic, financial reports and supplemental data out of each of these tools and gain a perspective on how all interacts. Familiarity will be gained through the support of the Actuals Reporting Support mailbox; managing the critical process and system changes. The position will also support managing the critical system change control process, to ensure overall SOX and audit compliance, making certain that all changes to HFM, FDM and FTK receive the proper approval, testing and documentation.
Education Minimum Requirement:
- BS in Accounting or Finance with MBA or CPA preferred
Required Experience and Skills:
- Greater than 3 years relevant business experience, with some exposure to process/systems implementations, financial consolidation or financial reporting and planning
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Strong skills, aptitude and experience with financial reporting software tools
