Marsh & McLennan National Training & Quality Specialist in Kitchener, Ontario

This position will develop, organize, maintain and conduct training and educational programs for Marsh Private Client Services (PCS), nationally using various training modes and be responsible for pre and post placement quality assurance reviews. The role must adapt to a broad range of assignments requiring appreciable originality. Candidate should exhibit a strong insurance background from a product knowledge and underwriting perspective but also have a thorough understanding of insurance processes and systems. Works with management to gain knowledge of training initiatives and quality assurance needs. The candidate is able to facilitate a variety of on and off site training courses to support the further development of the training curriculum and improve quality assurance. Training: Responsible for coordinating training requests, planning, scheduling and expert delivery of the PCS training curriculum and assigned training initiatives. This includes developing, preparing and maintaining all necessary training materials including evaluating the effectiveness of training activities. Will also maintain records of training activities, participant progress and program effectiveness Recommends & incorporates improvements and enhancements to the training curriculum in order to close gaps and improve results. Also responsible for sanctioning and de-sanctioning requests to carrier portals for PCS. Quality Assurance: Responsible for timely and accurate completion and delivery of monthly quality audits for PCS to help drive quality performance. This includes quality coaching reviews, collate, structure and communicate findings and identify and escalate trends and/or continuous improvement opportunities when appropriate. Will contribute to the content of quality reference guides and training protocols as requested and participate as required in calibration sessions on quality assurance topics. Workflow Administration Ensure that incoming work is handled effectively, promptly in accordance with key performance Indicators and accurately so that the needs of internal and external customers are consistently met and exceeded. Demonstrate flexibility in approach and follow up to achieve resolution of outstanding issues. Manage and prioritize a demanding and complex personal workload, with minimal management involvement. Keep management apprised of progress on key work items. Personal Development & Compliance Support departmental activities to comply with industry regulatory requirements. Adhere to the Marsh E&O and Compliance Standards; Safety, Health and Environment Policy; and Departmental Procedures and Guidelines. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business or other related field RIBO license CIP or working towards completion Experience in methods and techniques of adult education with demonstrated success Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and written communication skills. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products is essential Ability to analyze and ascertain needs, linking training and design to performance and operational processes Experience in developing online training and learning management systems Strong analysis, judgment and decision making skills Strong problem solving capabilities Maintains a focus on meeting the standards of the organization through an understanding of Marsh’s Professional Standards, Marsh Excellence, Marsh’s Six Sigma efforts and any internal quality measures that are implemented.
