Penske Payroll Supervisor in Kitchener, Ontario
Support the activity for Canadian payroll preparation, processing, distribution, and associate data management to ensure data integrity (statutory, contractual, and procedural compliance). This position is ideally suited to a tenured payroll professional that has hands-on experience with complex Canadian payrolls in a multi-province environment.
Shift details: Days, Monday - Friday
All payroll activities and responsibilities of payroll processing in Canada
Serve as internal point of contact for all customer questions around payroll activity
Manage collection and vendor systems with interfaces between ADP Enterprise, Oracle, and other IT systems
Monitor activities and CTQ’s to create accurate payroll and reporting
Analyze pay data and assure procedure/legislative compliance
Interact with four ADP offices and have regular interaction with Human Resource Staff to coordinate functional content.
Other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.
7-10 years of Canadian payroll experience required
Certified Payroll Associate certification (CPA) is preferred
High School diploma or GED equivalent required
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Must have a superior command of Canadian payroll tax law, labor law, benefit plans, audit procedures, and all things related to payroll accuracy and compliance
Advanced experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Preferred experience with ADP eTime, Kronos, ADP PCPW and ADP Workforce Now
Requires strong leadership, interpersonal and organizational skills
Ability to multi-task required, this position will monitor many activities and drive increased systems performance and improvement.
Strong verbal and written communication skills required
Previous experience with Union Payrolls preferred
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
