Job Summary

AECOM is interested in acquiring the skills of a self-motivated individual that can provide the necessary education and experience to potential passengers interested in utilizing the Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) bus system for medical-related purposes. The successful candidate will be required to answer referrals as they arrive and provide the essential training and guidance needed for the patient to complete their transit trip. This training may require highly personalized instruction in which the travel trainer coordinator assists the transit passenger in completing the fixed route transit trip.

This position also will require periodic visits to medical facilities and other locations of interest within Knoxville to help market the Knoxville Area’s 2-1-1 system – specifically for transit-related trips. This task will involve distribution of printed marketing materials and possible assistance with vendor booths during identified public events.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 2+ years of experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Microsoft Office or Google Docs experience

  • Knowledge and experience with Knoxville Area Transit routes and schedules

  • Reliable mode of transportation (e.g., bus pass, personal vehicle, etc.)
