Verizon Finance Consultant – Credit and Collections in Lake Mary, Florida
What you’ll be doing...

As a subject matter expert, you’ll be improving our collection processes and systems in order to enhance the customer experience, reduce our debt, and protect our assets.
Developing and implementing initiatives focused on enhancing our collection processes, reducing bad debt and churn, while also improving the customer experience.
Providing strategic recommendations on complex processes or issues that contribute to improving operational metrics.
Partnering with internal stakeholders to develop requirements for new processes and initiatives in support of organizational self-service strategies.
Participating in user acceptance testing activities associated with new or modified systems.
Fielding issue escalations from internal customers or delivery partners and responding to customer inquiries.
Providing production support of collections systems in support of Wireless and Wireline call centers.
Developing, managing and supporting collections strategies and initiatives through planning, system administration and maintenance including the CACS and Strata applications.
Analyzing all aspects of portfolio risk, and making strategic recommendations concerning the scope of work to be performed based on those risks.
Driving automation and monitoring of controls to improve financial performance, repair controls that are not functioning as intended, and enhancing existing controls that address deficiencies in the strategy.
Ensuring projects are delivered on time, maintaining integrity of project scope and helping ensure projects stay within budget.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Experience working in a collection support call center.
Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
Created complex queries and reporting tools.
Experience working with financial, accounting and collection support systems.
Experience of electronic customer self-serve support applications.
Strong communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to function in a fast paced environment and work independently.
Proven ability to conduct analysis/publication of results with identification of areas of weakness and the implementation of corrective action plans.
Strong aptitude for building professional relationships that produce results with managing projects from planning through implementation, ability to analyze and interpret system fallout queues, recognize issues, prioritize resolution and determine the full extent of the problem to clearly articulate a process issue to all business partners and IT partners including Senior Leadership.
Ability to interpret results and evaluate impact of initiatives with subject matter experts for IT, Legal, Regulatory and other Finance organizations.
Ability to bridge communication among technical and nontechnical project staff and clients.
Experience with business case planning, business and functional requirement analysis, use case creation and execution, pre and post production testing and implementation.
Proven analytical skills, including the ability to diagnose layered problems and dissect large groups of data using Teradata, Quantus, Oracle, Tableau and Excel.
