Verizon Lead Specialist - SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) in Lake Mary, Florida

What you’ll be doing...

When you join the CFO IT Finance Data Management team, you will be embarking on the future of Verizon Finance Data. Our team is leading the way to streamline and centralize data management activities and your expertise, commitment and problem-solving skills are needed.

Your Responsibilites includes:

  • Create and maintain various Master Data elements such as general ledger account, cost center, profit center within multiple ERPs.

  • Enforce Master Data guidelines, ensure proper approvals are obtained and reconcile ERP systems for data integrity to ensure business continuation and accurate financial reporting.

  • Support multiple business organizations regarding master data for business continuity and implement new business processes for a better customer service experience.

  • Work closely with Project Management team to perform data management tasks needed for implementation of centralized ERP system. (data maintenance, legacy mapping table maintenance, testing, data issue resolution, etc.)

  • Act as a subject matter expert for assigned data elements, representing Data Strategy & Management team for projects & enhancements.

  • Maintain mapping table between legacy and directional ERPs.

  • Perform assigned tasks related to the preparation, conception, realization and Go Live of implementation projects.

  • Must effectively communicate with project team and business partners to understand specific Enterprise Data needs and be able to translate those requirements into a tactical solution.

  • Must be able to collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure overall successful delivery of SAP Master Data Governance.

  • Cross train and manage resources as needed to meet departmental objectives.

  • Document master data processes and procedures for all tasks.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Four or more years of relevant work experience.

  • Experience maintaining Master Data in SAP.

  • Implementation experience of SAP in key domains such as Finance, Customer, Supplier, Material, Business Partners.

  • Experience maintaining finance master data, customer, vendor and/or product/material in MDG or SAP.

  • Experiencedesigning data migration strategy leveraging industry best practices for high data volume engagements.

Even better if you have:

  • A degree.

  • Knowledge of SAP MDG technical framework includes BADI, BAPI/RFC/FM, Workflows, BRF+, Enterprise Services, Idoc, Floorplan Manager, Webdynpro, Fiori and MDG API framework.

  • Knowledge of SAP data dictionary tables, views, relationships and corresponding data architecture for ECC and S/4 HANA for various SAP master and transactional data entities including high depth of functional knowledge for core master data objects like customer, vendor, material and finance specific data objects e.g. general ledger, cost center, profit center.

  • Knowledge of SAP data migration tools like SAP BODS, SLT, SDI, S4 Migration Cockpit, and LSMW etc.

  • Knowledge of SAP data dictionary tables and relationships for ECC and S/4 HANA for finance specific data objects e.g. general ledger, cost center, profit center.

  • Knowledge of Financial terms and business processes.

  • Ability to acquire new knowledge, adapt to and contribute to fast moving environment.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to impart ideas in technical, business and user-friendly language.

  • Familiarity with SAP essential; familiarity with MDG & Fiori.

  • Demonstrated knowledge, and/or a proven record of success in executing various functional and technical aspects of SAP MDG projects following industry best practices involving Data Modeling, Process Modeling, UI Modelling, Business Validation Rules Modeling, Derivations and Data Replication Framework (DRF).
