Armstrong Flooring, Inc. is currently seeking a qualified and dependable Customer Service Representative for our Lancaster, PA call center. This role manages orders and responds to inquiries from an incoming 800 number for the Armstrong Strategic Account Customers. This position reports to the Customer Service Supervisor and the hours for this position are 9:30 am - 6:00 pm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Handling calls regarding everything from order placement and order confirmation to material availability, product information, and requests to rush orders.

  • Communicating with various individuals including retailers, distributors and freight carriers as well as internal contacts such as sales, production planning, plants, finance, and transportation to service customer orders and inquiries.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree or 1+ years of related customer service experience.

  • Superior verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

  • A commitment to consistently exceed the customer's expectations.

  • Excellent listening skills and problem-solving skills relative to customer inquiries.

  • Ability to prioritize workload and perform multiple tasks at once.

  • Proven ability to maintain a positive attitude and work effectively within a team environment.

  • Ability to be proactive, take initiative, be accountable and possess a strong propensity towards change and process improvement.

  • Proficiency in operating a PC with basic knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with SAP, CES, and Lotus Notes.

  • Call center experience.
