* Your responsibilities may include: *

  • Provide engineering support to CWC’s power generation sales, customers and end users.

  • This individual will support PG’s opportunities from the initial customer inquiry to determine the suitability of Cummins power generation solution in the application through the installation and design review phase and final testing according to prescribed Cummins AE standards

  • This individual will work closely with other AEs and CWC’s PG sales.

  • Communicating with appropriate factory personnel to ensure compliance with factory standards or gain approval for deviation from their specifications

  • Other outside contacts include multitude of end use customers

  • Support PG’s sales team

  • Review customer RFQs/RFPs for technical compliance with equipment selected.

  • Review vendor quotes/drawings for technical compliance.

  • Ensure designs conform to relevant Cummins, national and international standards as required.

  • Develop technical documentation (drawings, BOM, datasheets) within framework of accepted department standards and procedures.

  • Carrying out system design, basic design, specification writing, detailed design, cost-estimation, tender bid evaluation and review engineering submission by contractor.

  • Majority of time will be spent in the office.

  • 20% travel time will be required for the purposes of design review and testing. Most of this travel will be contained within CWC territory.

  • A few trips will be required to attend Cummins Inc. AE training in the United States

  • This position is not technically on call but should be available to respond to inquiries from branches off hours in urgent situations.


* Skills/Knowledge/Abilities: *

  • Solid understating of internal combustion engines, diesel & gas power generation system, their cooling, control and auxiliary systems.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Good working knowledge of MS Office, AutoCAD, Solid Works, and ability to learn various Cummins Inc. software programs

* Education, Licenses, Certifications: *

  • Degree or certificate in Mechanical engineering.

* Experience: *

  • Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada without sponsorship.

* Pre-Employment Screening*

Specific Tickets / Licenses are checked as required, and Drivers Abstracts are required for any position where driving is part of the job.
