We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated individual to fill the position of Electrical Specialist at our Battleground plant located in La Porte, Texas.
Essential Job Duties:
Supervise construction: review prints, check methods, list material needed and follow design.
Assist in maintaining plant specifications for installation of electrical systems consisting of both written documents and drawings.
Supervise special maintenance projects, preventive maintenance and follow inspections.
Ensure plant electrical switchyard equipment, Substation and transformer and associated equipment are reliable by vigorously executing and following the Electrical Maintenance Guidelines.
Resource and Auditor for the following systems: Plant motor inspections and Repair, Cathodic protection, UPS systems, Transformers, Relays, OCB’s, transmission lines, switchgear and airswitches.
Co-ordinate and schedule the maintenance, inspection, and installation of electrical equipment.
Provide technical training to electrical technicians that includes individual assistance in interpreting drawings and other documents to calibration and testing procedures.
Experience in electrical maintenance or B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering required.
Minimum 5 years’ experience with electrical distribution equipment.
High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work as part of a team.
Ability to work weekends, holidays and respond to callouts on a non-routine basis.
Physical requirements – Must be able to lift 40 lbs, climb ladders and stairs. Walking, bending, stooping is required. Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including the use of a respirator. Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of SAP.
