Penske Clerk - Returnable (Logistics) in Laredo, Texas
Work as a Liaison between Mexico plants and GM Customers, in supporting our Aptiv Customer
This is a 1st shift position. Days are Monday - Friday. Hours are 8am - 5pm.
Job responsibilities may include:
-Scheduling deliveries and shipments.
-Monitors delivery schedules to assure delivery timeliness of product to customer.
-Running various reports in SAP PN1.
-Manage time sensitive information and transactions in order to meet customer demand.
-Tracking shipments and providing the proper follow-up until material has reached its final destination.
-Recovering loads when necessary.
-Candidate must have strong communication skills, and be able to work independently and in a team setting.
-Keep strong communication with internal and external customer to meet all business needs.
-Work closely with common carriers.
-Work with the customer to resolve any transportation issues.
-Identify cost savings for the customer.
-Work closely with Mexico operating plants.
-Strong PC skills in all Windows operating systems.
-Communicate with other associates.
-Maintain daily and weekly logs
-Be able to work in a warehouse environment.
-Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor
-2 years of general office experience required
-1 year of customer service experience required
-High School diploma or equivalent required
-Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
-AS400 experience preferred
-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
