JOB TITLE: Auditor Team Lead - Payroll Service Center

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES - The Auditor Team Lead at the Payroll Service Center has a solid background in payroll processing activities. This individual audits the payrolls for each Payroll Specialist utilizing audit criteria on a structured schedule. The results are used to calculate the Payroll Specialists/Lead’s quarterly bonuses. Additionally, the Audit Team Lead assists the Director/Managers in providing guidance by recommending areas in need of improvement and working with the PSC Trainer to ensure they are up to date on the training that is needed. The Auditor Team Lead must have excellent communication skills at all levels.

OPERATIONAL DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: • Provides a consistent and fair process for auditing Payroll Specialists/Team Leads • Responsible for quarterly trending & reporting from audit results • Ability to meet strict monthly deadline for audit completion • Updates audit documents (criteria, scorecards, schedules, and etc) as needed • Identifies and provides top opportunities to Team • Identifies training opportunities to Trainer • Knowledgeable about SOX and key controls identified for payroll of • Possesses a detailed understanding Kronos time and attendance software, and Lawson payroll functionality • Acts as a resource to Payroll Service Center staff; providing guidance and assistance as directed by the Manager. • Provides timely feedback to Director/Manager(s), ensuring timely issue escalation • Adheres to company Policies and Procedures • Facilitates strong customer service relationships • Communicates and participates in problem resolution processes • Assists Managers and Director in identifying process improvements • Adheres to Payroll Service Center internal control processes • Participates and assists in the development of applicable training programs • Provides feedback and makes recommendations for changes to applicable forms/tools and processes • Sets appropriate example for staff by maintaining a positive attitude regarding customers, leadership, and the work at hand • Stays abreast of multi-state regulatory requirements and company policies • Performs responsibilities to help ensure department benchmarks and goals are met or exceeded • Maintains confidentiality with all payroll information • Practices and adheres to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy and “Mission and Value Statement” • Other duties as assigned by the Director

EDUCATION • Advanced education preferred, but not required • High School diploma or GED required

EXPERIENCE • Minimum 2 years payroll processing experience • Supervisory experience preferred • Experience with healthcare payroll preferred • Experience in a consolidated, multi-state payroll environment preferred


• Certified Payroll Professional considered a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS - Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Requires lifting papers or boxes up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment. Work may be stressful at times.
