Job Summary

The Program Management/Construction Management (PM/CM) business line specializes in the management of design and construction of community infrastructure facilities for education, healthcare, national governments, sports and leisure, justice, cultural venues, and commercial needs. From concept through completion, we provide necessary technical and administrative services to help our clients meet their program objectives. Our professionals serve as an extension of our clients' staff, protecting their interests as our own, and often working within our clients' offices. As an industry leader in PM/CM, we oversee activities ranging from planning, coordination, scheduling and cost control, to design, construction and commissioning.

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Construction Inspector for immediate employment in Las Vegas, NV.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:

  • May work closely with client and AECOM project manager

  • Assure contractor complies with detailed plans, specifications, and pertinent building codes

  • Assure that the contractor complies with the designated quality control program

  • Assure that the material testing results are in compliance with the contract specifications

  • Recognize problems and anticipate future areas of concern

  • Perform regular calculations

  • Will have moderate supervision on complex tasks

  • Will exercise independent judgment and provide recommendations based on experience

  • Maintain Records including inspections, pay item calculations, punch list

Minimum Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in related field inspector position

  • Thorough understanding of inspection procedures, methods, principles and techniques of construction practices and building materials, technology and equipment construction practices, equipment and materials used in the execution of projects

  • Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply extensive expertise to complex programs and/or administrative specialties including pertinent laws and regulations

  • General knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software

  • Ability to read, research and thoroughly understand plans, specifications and contract documents

  • Ability to understand problems from a broad, interactive perspective and discern applicable underlying principles

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required and applicant will need to be eligible for security clearances

  • Must possess a valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous working experience with the US military and understanding of their processes and procedures
