Rite of Passage Night Youth Advocate in Las Vegas, Nevada



  • Adheres to the facility and daily schedules.

  • Conducts initial intake and needs assessment.

  • Develops and oversees the completion of the Client Case Plan and Client Safety Plan based on presenting issues and client

  • Primary program liaison between client, parents/legal guardian, Program Manager and other workers involved with client.

  • Provides monthly progress summaries to Program Manager and other workers involved with client (probation officers, DFS case worker, etc.).

  • Maintain open communication with any workers or professional involved in client cases (VICE detectives, juvenile probation/parole officer, DFS case workers, therapist, etc.)

  • Facilitates CFT meetings every 45 days to include client, parent/guardian therapist, probation/parole, and any other involved professional parties.

  • Ensures comprehensive social services are provided in a timely manner including but not limited to: referrals to medical, mental health, dental, immigration/legal providers, access to appropriate benefits, housing, childcare, education, counseling, transportation, and employment agencies.

  • In conjunction with administrative assistance, manages and updates assigned client

  • Provides court advocacy and court accompaniment when needed by client.

  • Completes Serious Incident Reports and notifies the Program Manager and appropriate individuals/agencies.


  • Possess a BA/BS in related field (Master’s degree preferred). Internal candidates must satisfactorily complete 90 days as a ROP Coach Counselor with a standard or above evaluation in addition to a BA/BS degree.

  • Prior case management experience required including three years experience with youth and at least one year of experience providing advocacy and case management to victims of crime, trauma survivors, or similar populations.

  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Background in dealing with juvenile placement agencies is preferred.

  • Must be 21 years old or older

  • Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.

  • Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.




  • Bachelors or better in Human Services



  • 3 years: Case Management
