Rite of Passage Outreach Coordinator in Las Vegas, Nevada
Adheres to facility and daily schedules unless otherwise engaged in outreach events.
Provides street outreach to sexually exploited youth and youth survivors of trauma.
Connects with schools, community centers, homeless youth shelter, community businesses and other community service providers where youth frequent.
Makes contact and develops rapport with sexually exploited youth in a variety of settings including detention, recreational centers, in the community, schools, etc.
Manages social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter).
Provides street outreach and basic needs supplies to sexually exploited youth during efforts coordinated with law enforcement.
Keeps accurate documentation of outreach events ie. participant numbers, locations, times,, collateral disbursement and signup sheets to be input in appropriate databases.
Utilizes, monitors and supervises outreach volunteers.
Keeps a current schedule/calendar of upcoming events both in the community and at ROP/TEP drop-in center.
Completes required reports and documentation in a timely manner, provides management with required reports and advises of any problematic situations.
Creates, prepares and submits monthly reports summarizing outreach events and contacts to the Program Manager for submission to Program Director.
Keeps all presentation materials and statistics up to date, accurate and relevant.
Organize and facilitate ROP/TEP hosted events, including one quarterly larger scale event and once a month smaller events.
Complies with and implements the Rite of Passage Policies and Procedures as detailed in the appropriate manuals/handbooks.
Ensures the highest standards are maintained to prevent illegal, unethical, or improper conduct and to ensure the program remains in compliance with agency licensing and Rite of Passage policies and procedures.
Assists with the correction of deficiencies and quality improvement efforts.
Generally assists Program Manager, as requested, to accomplish program goals.
Attends and participates in all required site and client
Commits to attending all training and staff development classes in order to ensure sufficient hours of training are completed on an annual basis. Notifies the supervisor if annual training hours are deficient.
Ensures the safety, health and welfare of staff and client at all times.
Maintains supervision of clients when onsite at drop-in center and offsite in the community.
Provides encouragement, guidance and resources to the staff and clients when needed.
Possess a BA/BS in Marketing or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
At least one year of experience working with victims of crime, trauma survivors, or similar populations.
Any equivalent combination of training and experience, which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Background in dealing with juvenile placement agencies is preferred.
Must be 21 years old or older
Must meet the requirements to be an eligible ROP driver. Must possess a current State Driver’s License and have an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years.
Strong knowledge of overall company operations and policies and procedures.
Ability to pass a criminal background clearance check, drug screen, physical and TB test.
