Current Need :
We are currently seeking a Systems Analyst with a strong functional background and experience in the SAP application as well as a good understanding of integration of SD with other SAP modules.
The Systems Analyst will be responsible for making recommendation on architecture, design and configuration decisions in an existing ERP application and should have experience interacting with a technical team and be willing to work in a support role.
In addition, an ability to learn specific processes quickly is a must. Some on-call and weekend work (typically no later than 9:00 pm) is required on a rotational basis.
Position Description:
Works primarily in SAP client/server enterprise. Plans, conducts, and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with SAP. Partners with users to identify, evaluate, and develop solutions and procedures which are cost-effective and meet user requirements. Understands content, processes and procedures associated with enterprise applications. Applies functional knowledge to design and customize workflow systems that enable these functions.
Responsibilities:
Works with the user community to identify their requirements, design enhancements and functionality to help meet user requirements
Serves as functional integration owner for area of expertise and performs configuration work as needed to support new and existing functionality
Prepares functionality specifications and delivers to developers
Works with the other IT teams, designers and enterprise architect to determine the best solution to help resolve customer problems and satisfy customer requirements
Collaborates with developers and the quality assurance team to develop and test significant new functionality
Performs integration testing work as necessary, to ensure that new functionality does not adversely affect existing functionality
Follows all design work and integration testing protocols, change control procedure, use standards, procedures and practices in performing required work, including documenting business process / procedures and updating as necessary per project
Analyst will work in a matrixed environment including with other technical service areas (EDI, EAI, XI, BI/BW, NW, etc.) and with external contractors and vendors
Minimum Requirements:
8 years’ experience in software engineering and/or software architecture
Critical Skills:
4 years of experience working with SD in an SAP environment
4 years of experience in SAP SD configuration
2 years of experience in a distribution environment
2 years of experience supporting SAP SD production issues
Additional Knowledge & Skills:
Configuration experience in multiple SAP modules is desirable
Experience in requirements gathering, which requires effective communication skills.
Experience in multiple full cycles of SAP enhancement and/or implementation from design thru go-live
Comfortable with complex interface environment
Education:
4-year degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
