New Penn Motor Express Recruiting Coordinator in Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Job Purpose Statement:


The Administrative Coordinator, Recruiting will assist in ensuring HR hiring policies and practices are consistent with company objectives and are in compliance with the federal, state and local guidelines. The Administrative Coordinator, Recruiting will ensure accurate documentation is provided through completion of the on-boarding process while guiding hiring managers and candidates through the New Penn selection process. The position reports to the Talent Acquisition Manager.

The position requires high energy, customer focus, forward thinking, the ability to adapt to different environments, the ability to establish trust throughout the organization, and a strong commitment to help the organization acquire exceptional talent and exceed expectations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Develops recruitment strategies to achieve required staffing levels.

-Meets with managers to develop specific recruiting plans.

-Develops and maintains professional relationships with school placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.

-Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.

-Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.

-Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.

-Conducts reference and background checks.

-Develops and conducts training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.

-Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics.

-Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or related field

  • Three to five years successful recruiting experience

  • Familiar with recruiting trends and tools (social media, job aggregators, industry networking)

  • Internet savvy and experienced in mining online databases

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Knowledge of company policies and procedures is preferred.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the Company.

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with associates.

  • Capability of effective planning and priority setting.

  • Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude.

  • Knowledge of all pertinent federal and state regulations pertaining to employment, employee relations, and benefits
