Oracle Director of Product Management, Artificial Intelligence in Lemoyne, Pennsylvania

Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a Director in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Envision and communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met. The ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations is important. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 of software engineering or related experience preferred.

This is a remote/office based position which may be performed anywhere in the United States except for within the state of Colorado.

As director of product management, you’ll lead a team of product managers and data scientists to enable teams to use intelligent insights, automation, and interactions to deliver superior customer solutions with an extraordinary user experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of product managers and data scientists who facilitate and collaborate with teams on intelligent solutions to their customers’ most important needs.

  • Drive NetSuite’s intelligence product strategy, and collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure execution of roadmap for AI/ML technologies necessary to meet business goals

  • Present the strategy and roadmap to senior management, and align on expectations, staffing and other resource needs

  • Be comfortable and proactive in a fast-paced environment with many unknowns, and frequently evolving priorities and requirements.

  • Collaborate with product marketing on messaging, product, analyst briefings and other activities.

  • Partner with other Oracle teams to leverage shared technologies, learnings, and processes

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • 10 years experience creating software, including product management (PM) role(s)

  • 2 years experience managing people, with proven ability to coach and develop others

  • Practical experience working with AI / ML and data science to solve real-world problems is highly desirable.

  • Thorough understanding of PM skills, processes, and best practices. Passion for and ability to understand customer needs and deliver great solutions. A track record building software with exceptional user experience.

  • A solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile development methods.

  • Excellent strategic thinking and prioritization skills. Ability to create a winning roadmap to achieve business goals while making difficult tradeoff decisions.

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and cross-functional teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.

  • We operate as one global team- flexible hours are sometimes required to collaborate with employees and teams outside North America.

  • Proven success delivering solutions with exceptional user experience to help users complete tasks quickly, easily, and enjoyably. Understanding of user-centered design principles and design thinking is helpful.

  • Creative problem solving skills and ability to inspire innovation across teams.

  • Hands-on familiarity with enterprise applications such as ERP or CRM systems is helpful.

  • Preferred education background – MBA with undergraduate degree in engineering, science, mathematics, statistics, or economics, or equivalent work experience.
