Primary Role

To perform work assigned by the supervisor necessary to maintain the production and wastewater facilities.

Key Accountabilities

  • To perform work assigned by supervision.

  • To collect, compile and record equipment data, involving some use of pc based documentation and test equipment.

  • To perform work necessary in the maintenance of production and wastewater facilities.

  • Responsible for routine checks of equipment, facilities, and security measures as deemed appropriate by the organization / supervisor.

  • To assist other employees in the performance of their work.

  • To report to supervisor requirements for adequate inventory of maintenance parts and supplies.

  • To maintain open communication with all team members.

  • To be on rotating call with other personnel.

Knowledge / Skills

  • Must have working knowledge of electrical and mechanical equipment.

  • Must be able to read and interpret electrical, and mechanical drawings, prints, layouts, equipment instruction manuals, etc.

  • Must be familiar with, the use of electrical test equipment, such as multi-meters, ammeters, etc.

  • Must be familiar with mechanical theory and use of mechanical hand tools.

  • Must be able to work in a group or alone.

  • Must be able to drive forklift truck after training.

  • Must be able to keep proficient records on equipment.

  • Must be able to score at or within 10% of national average on General Maintenance NOCTI test.

  • High school graduate or state recognized Educational Equivalency Certificate required.

  • Must be licensed to operate motor vehicles.

  • CDL preferred or willing to obtain in 90 days is required

Work Environment

To inform other work areas and other personnel of situations, which

affect company operations. To follow all federal, state, local and

company regulations and policies.

  • Must be able to satisfactorily pass company’s physical examination.

  • Must be able to perform such activities as walking, stooping, lifting 30 pounds, climbing, working in damp spaces, working in closed spaces, working outdoor in all weather conditions, working on and around water treatment chemicals and feed systems with appropriate safety devices and measures.

  • Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Must be able to distinguish colors.

  • Must be able to obtain Hepatitis vaccine upon employment.

  • Must be able to follow company dress and conduct codes.

  • Must be able to use when needed self-contained breathing apparatus, dust masks, chemical hygiene suits, and other safety related equipment.
