Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

You will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for design and influence of not only infrastructure automation, but also solving security problems by deploying off the shelf tools as well as writing custom integrations. You will work closely with other developers in Cloud Security to solve day-to-day problems, create utilities and applications, and create a security platform of tools that benefits all of Oracle cloud. You need to be well versed in every part of the infrastructure development process including source code management, artifact deployment, package management, continuous integration, build and test automation, application deployment, and application monitoring.
As an Infrastructure Developer in the Cloud Security organization, you will be responsible for
Automating Cloud Security infrastructure
Automated build and deployment of applications and infrastructure code
Working with other developers to design solutions to security problems using combinations of custom applications, integrations, and off the shelf tools
As a senior member of the engineering team, you will mentor other engineers as well as provide direction and ownership of roadmap and design
Proficient at programming in a high level language (Go, Python, Ruby, Java)
Comfortable with TCP/IP networking and related protocol
6 years experience in DevOps, Systems Administration or development
Driven to automate
Experience with automated deployment and configuration management tools
Software development experience
Strong knowledge of available tools, language features and library availability
Specific knowledge of Oracle Linux, Redhat, or CentOS platforms
Git, SVN, or similar version control experience
Deep understanding of package management
Ability to work independently, working closely with business stakeholders to design, develop, deploy, test and support implemented solutions
Comfortable working in an agile environment
Good interpersonal skills
