Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

While Fusion Applications has been a huge success, the basic architecture is based on an on-premise, Fusion Middleware stack that has not changed since its inception. The Fusion Applications Technical Architecture team has been tasked with defining the next generation architecture (codename Spectra) based on cloud native principles running in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This re-architecture not only has us work with a wide arrange or state-of-the-art technologies and OCI services, but it will also mean redefining processes and moving them to a modern developer workflow (CI/CD, fully automated testing, etc.). We will also lead the way in redefining the culture within the SaaS organization to a DevOps culture.
We will be designing and building a SaaS platform with value added services enabling SaaS developers to quickly build enterprise applications. We are looking for highly technical, hands-on leaders to help manage the effort to design, build out and promote this platform across the SaaS organization.
For this position, we are looking for an experienced Product Manager to gather requirements from the Fusion Applications organization for building the next generation SaaS services. The candidate will be required to gather and evaluate requirements from a broad set of areas including but not limited to business processes, batch jobs, BI, extensibility and customizations, security and UI technologies.
The candidate would be expected to be comfortable frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 or more years of product management or related experience.
Relevant experience would include Product management and/or projects related to:
Enterprise SaaS / Fusion Applications
Building and running large multi-tenant public cloud services
Driving cross-organizational technical programs
Cloud-native technologies: Kubernetes, Docker, Istio, OPA, etc
Architecting, development and operation of cloud-based microservices on top of Kubernetes
Experience with the OCI environment
