Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented, experienced and motivated EHS Professional for immediate employment in the Lithia Springs, GA office. The successful candidate will provide full time (average of 40 hours per week Monday thru Friday) EHS Management System support as requested by the client project manager.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Updates the client’s global website weekly or as directed by the client project manager

  • Maintains a repository for recordable incidents (Injury and Illness reports) and root cause analyses

  • Creates and maintains a dashboard of contract partners including development and update of metrics across fleet-wide Operations

  • Oversees stakeholder compliance to specified deadlines, including regular updates to the client project manager

  • Assists development of update decks and training for Director Staff

  • Assists with All-Hands, and monthly EHS Communications

  • Prepares universal safety standards

  • Assists the investigation of incidents and near misses, including follow-up communications with vendors

  • Reviews are written procedures and conduct regulatory analysis to support procedure development

  • When not engaged at the client site, (expected to be infrequent until December 2018), report to the AECOM EHS group leader assignments at other client sites

  • The position will be based in Lithia Springs, GA (Western Atlanta). Significant travel is not anticipated for this position

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma

  • 2+ years of experience working as an accountable EHS professional in a warehouse/logistics company setting

  • Associate Safety Professional® (ASP) certification or higher

  • Experience working with EHS Management Systems (i.e. ISO 14001 or ISO 45001)

  • Strong interpersonal / communication skills (both verbal and written)

  • Flexibility to adjust routines and meet deadlines

  • Proficiency with Google Drive

  • Due to the nature of this work, qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

  • Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of experience working as an accountable EHS professional in a warehouse/logistics company setting

  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and prepare coherent proposals to meet them

  • Ability to work with AECOM department manager on deadlines, work forecasting, and utilization

  • Experience implementing/working with Behavior-Based Safety Systems

  • Experience with Risk Management and Mitigation Systems
