Verizon Safety Manager in Little Rock, Arkansas
What you’ll be doing...
Providing subject matter expertise on Health and Safety matters.
Driving a culture of safety.
Reviewing business messages to ensure safety components are included.
Developing Health and Safety programs including Near Miss Reporting, Hazard Communication, Lockout Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, and Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) record keeping.
Monitoring compliance with Verizon Health and Safety programs and requirements.
Benchmarking Health and Safety metrics with industry groups.
Reviewing Health and Safety regulations for changes in standards and formulating agency responses when required.
What we’re looking for...
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) requirements.
Experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Even better if you have:
A related professional degree or certification including Certified Safety Professional, Professional Geologist, Professional Engineer, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, or Certified Industrial Hygienist.
Fifteen or more years of work experience in a safety field.
Previous work experience in the telecommunications industry.
Experience writing policies that proves strong written and verbal communication skills.
