Eaton’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems is currently seeking a Senior Design Engineer – Distributed Generation. This position will be based at one of these locations: Warrendale, PA, Lewiston, ME, Mountainside, NJ, Franklin, MA, Denver, CO, Birmingham, AL or a remote office in the continental United States.

The purpose of this position is to provide design & commissioning engineering services instrumental to the completion of major projects. This position is to provide engineering leadership to teams of designers/discipline specific engineers to create complete designs including both electrical and layout packages.
The Senior Design Engineer (SDE) is responsible for managing design deliverables to maintain project schedule, design budget, design accuracy, and submittal completeness working in concert with designers. The SDE is charged with value added engineering of team designs to provide a quality product while driving efficiencies. The SDE shall act as a single point of contact to project manager for design technical assistance. Other tasks that the SDE will take part in include scope development, estimating, and subcontractor bid leveling.

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution
Minimum of 7 years of engineering design, construction or commissioning experience
Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
No relocation is being offered for this position. All candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius of the work locations listed or remotely within the continental United States.
Professional Engineer Qualification
Working knowledge of NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution
Position Success Criteria:
Understanding of Large & Small Generator Systems (Governors / Exciters / Auxiliaries)
Familiarity with Power System Calculations
Experience with AutoCAD and / or MicroStation
