Olympus America Inc. Repair Technician in Littleton, Massachusetts
(ONLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONSIDERED)
Associate's Degree is preferred; OR, equivalent experience will be considered (5 years).
Minimum of at least 1 year of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified is required.
Working knowledge of Windows OS, computer operation, routers is required.
Basic computer repair/troubleshooting and component replacements skills are essential.
Must be capable of multi-tasking, setting priorities and scheduling work activities.
Must be able to exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Computer/network troubleshooting skills are necessary.
Must be familiar with test equipment ie: oscilloscope, DVM.
Ability to lift 50 pounds is necessary.
Ability to work flexible hours as required.
Must be experienced user of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, Word and Power Point.
Strong customer service skills are necessary.
Solid working knowledge of electronics, personal computer hardware and software, and LAN concepts is preferred.
Proven ability to work under pressure is necessary.
Ability to articulate technical and user needs in a concise manner easily understood by all is essential.
Must be able to work with field personnel, management and customers.
Must have demonstrated decision making ability towards solving problems, and effectively communicate these solutions to co workers and customers.
Excellent communication skills are essential (written, verbal and presentation).

Troubleshoot ISM products to component level, and replace as necessary.
Perform acceptance tests on ISM products.
Reload/Re-image windows operating systems and/or ISM software.
Configure systems, load anti-virus software, and apply customer specific configuration.
Execute and follow RMA process.
Assist Quality to determine root cause of failures.
Manage inventory, perform monthly cycle counts.
Littleton, MA - The Repair Technician will perform repairs on returned equipment. The incumbent will configure, test, and package systems per sales orders. He/She will use a variety of small hand tools and test equipment to make repairs and facilitate disassembly and reassembly. The incumbent will complete and maintain accurate service records both electronically and manually.
