The Asset Management group manages hardware and software assets through their lifecycle, from the time they are ordered until disposal. Hardware assets managed by Service Management include laptops, desktops, tablets, monitors, printers, scanners , smartphones and portable hard drives. Software assets managed by Service Management include all software purchased and installed on colleague workstations.
The Hardware Asset Associate Analyst is responsible for assisting with the analysis of the lifecycle of all corporate owned IT assets (laptops and desktops, mobile devices etc.) globally. In accordance with best practices and internal processes and procedures, provide hardware asset management services to our internal clients.
This role will ideally be based in our Liverpool office but can also be based in any of our other offices in the UK, including London.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Audits - The current Hardware repository against network tools to measure and report on data integrity and compliance.
Redeployment/Surplus Management – Assist with the data analysis and reporting.
Global Disposals of IT Hardware Assets – Contact for the global disposal vendor(s) as well as the internal contact SME for this process.
Inventory Management – Ensuring up to date information is maintained in all available data sources
Documentation – Policies and Procedures
Provides input to new and updated policies and procedures that relate to hardware asset management.
Training – Assist with training on any aspect of HW asset management to our clients within IT.
Reporting and Analysis
Analyze large data sets and use this data to provide direction to the business or MGTI service departments. Development of reports based on data analysis as they relate to the lifecycle of each HW asset class. Be able to present findings in a concise understandable format. Reports/analysis to include data from various sources to include financial reporting.
Ideally two or more years of asset management or inventory control experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Work, Excel, PowerPoint) with a strong knowledge of Excel
Knowledge of Crystal Reports.
Knowledge of ITAM processes and procedures
Solid knowledge of asset lifecycle and best practices.
Knowledge of the electronic recycling industry.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks interchangeably
Self-motivated and results oriented, including the ability to prioritize several conflicting demands to achieve optimum service performance while maintaining a sense of urgency
Ability to develop and create reports.
Gains additional knowledge and stays abreast of current technologies through employee and company sponsored training, periodicals, and regular interaction with other team members.
