Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. 3 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 7 years business experience with relevant computer applications or database/tools. Ability to implement the most advanced product features. Thorough knowledge of system and application design. In depth knowledge of competitors. Demonstrated project management skills. Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Ability to persuade others through presentations, demonstrations, and written communication. Ability to travel as needed. A/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.

Retail/Commerce Developer OracleRetail Cloud Innovation Team

The Oracle Retail Omni-channelorganization, within the Retail Global Business Unit, is seeking a Retail/CommerceSoftware Developer to join ourRetail Cloud Innovation team. Allcandidates with the appropriate skills and experience will be considered,though the ideal candidate will have technology experience across the Oracle Commerce/CloudSolution suite, backed by retail domain knowledge.

The Retail Cloud Innovation team buildsand maintains all of our innovation assets, including:

omni-channel sales demo solutions and demo cloudinfrastructure

technology proofs of concept and forward-thinkinginnovations

Oracle and Oracle Partner rich technology integrations

tools for automation and administration of these assets,including container-based virtualization, user admin tools and server scripting

technical architecture and sizing for our prospects, integrations,demo infrastructure, etc.

Demonstrable hands-on experiencewith Oracle Commerce Cloud and/or the Oracle Commerce (ATG) solution is highlypreferred, but not required. This experience would ideally include developingclient and/or server-side extensions, widgets, integrations, etc., in additionto an understanding of the application s APIs and administration.

Experience integrating with and/ormanaging the Oracle Retail Omnichannel Suite (formerly Micros), including CustomerEngagement, Order Management System, Order Broker, Store Inventory Manager andXstore POS, is also desirable, but not required.

Key Objectives (Learn as you grow)

  • Use Oracle Cloud Technology (MCS, ICS, SOA, Oracle DB, Chatbots, AI, BI, IoT, ...) and retail omni-channel solutions to build composite business processes and innovative customer journeys for demonstration and proof of concept purposes

  • Contribute to innovation in the Retail Cloud business

  • Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Retail technology, business environments and best practices

  • Understand the RGBU s product strategy, especially in the areas of technology, cloud adoption and user experience

  • Exercise familiarity with competitors products and services to differentiate our offerings and innovations

Responsibilities

  • Design and build innovative solutions, demonstrations and integrations to support Retail omnichannel sales opportunities, marketing events and key analyst briefings

  • Innovate our offerings and demonstration capabilities using Oracle technology components (like Chatbot, MCS, AI, Machine Learning, etc.) and collaborating with Oracle Tech Partners and selected Retail Start-ups

  • Enable/empower our Retail sales consulting teams, XLOB Oracle teams and Partners on Retail Sales Consulting material and best practices

  • Support needs analysis-discovery sessions with technical evaluators, business users, systems integrators

Ideal Qualifications

  • 3 year experience in the Retail sector (either within a Retailer or Software Vendor) with a focus on technology, development and architecture

  • Familiar with the principles and practices involved in development and maintenance of software solutions and architectures

  • Knowledge of Integration between systems via middleware, utilizing components such as APIs; REST/SOAPUI web services

  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with the following technologies

o advanced knowledge: JavaScript, ReactJS, NODE.js

o Front end UI engineering and UX skills (themes, templates, client-side functionality, CSS/HTML design)

o some server-side development and scripting

o Oracle DB (11g/12c), MongoDB

o Linux

  • Experience with development and support of custom Oracle Commerce Cloud Service functionality and integrations, (ATG and Endeca knowledge is also highly desired.)

  • Experience of other Oracle Solutions such as Oracle Retail Enterprise solutions (ERP, BI, Planning), Oracle CX Suite, Oracle Fusion Apps etc. is desirable, but not required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and with demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems

  • Education to BS degree or equivalent is required; advanced degree desirable
