Primary Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Our two year COO Graduate Development Programme focuses on our customer experience and gives you the opportunity to explore and develop in a variety of business areas, before deciding upon a specialism. Rotations will be in:

  • Claim: Help our customers with a range of differing claims, from small accidents to large complex claims such as satellites exploding.

  • Operations: Learn how our business serves our customers, giving you a holistic and broad base of knowledge about the insurance industry from the ground up.

  • Marketing and Distribution : Learn how our business develops and maintain relationships with our stakeholders and Broker partners.

  • Strategic Planning: Help our business meet the future demands of the insurance industry by planning and driving change to keep us competitive.

From day one you will be given real experience of life in the insurance industry, working closely with our key partners at Travelers and our clients. Over the two years, the responsibility and complexity of your duties will grow as you develop.

We will provide you with the technical knowledge and personal development you need to succeed in the form of work-based assignments and structured learning. We will also provide financial support for your professional insurance qualification, which you will be expected to study for whilst on the programme.

Our programme provides you with the opportunity to explore a career in Claims as well as gaining a broader understanding of Travelers as an organisation and the insurance industry. You will also have the opportunity to spend time in our Head Office and Claims University, based in the U.S.

Job Summary:

Insurance is evolving and the way we do business is changing too. We are therefore looking for a talented graduate to join our Chief Operating Office (COO) in London to help us shape the future of our industry and our organisation.

The primary function of the COO is to help ensure that our business runs at it maximum capacity, engages with the market in the right way and builds relationships with clients. It’s made up of three departments:

  • Claims: Interfaces with our customers directly and gives them the service they expect and need when things do not go as planned

  • Distribution and Marketing: Attract and engage brokers and customers towards our products and services.

  • Operations and Strategic Planning: Focusing on operational and strategic goals allows us to run a smooth business, meaning that we can continue to provide great customer experiences.

Based throughout the UK, the teams above focus on customer service and consistent engagement of our key audiences.

Education, Work Experience & Knowledge:

Along with a minimum 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in the following subjects: Economics, Mathematics, Law, Insurance, Physics or Chemistry, you will have strong analytical and excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). You will be able to present effectively in front of others and have the desire to build relationships across the business.
