As a pivotal part of Mercer Marsh Benefits, the Global Benefits Management Team is responsible for the sales, delivery and service of global consulting, co-ordination, broking and technology solutions to the world’s largest multinational corporations. A new, dedicated team, we were established to ensure we grow and retain our clients, whilst ensuring continuing innovation of our market-leading proposition. You will join a passionate, client-centric, growth-obsessed team responsible for a portfolio of clients that contributes a significant portion of revenue annually and is key to Mercer Marsh Benefits growth strategy over the next three years. The Client Retention Leader will be responsible for the successful retention of our largest, most valuable and strategically important GBM accounts. In this highly visible, strategic, global sales role within the GBM Commercial and Sales Team, you will ensure we continue to achieve market-leading retention rates. Essential Functions Takes a sales based approach to the upsell and retention of key GBM clients Creates and executes a sales retention strategy with Global Client Managers/Global Consultants for clients within 12-18 months of contract renewal Lead all GBM rebids on identified clients Takes full GBM proposition to existing clients to sell next phase of journey and avoids RFP process to secure contract renewal of 3-5 years Owns GBM client “At Risk” process and assigns roles and actions within the client team; reporting to leadership on monthly basis on key metrics and performance statistics, by client. Qualifications Minimum of five years of successful client retention experience Global role, with extensive travel – location flexible Excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of success in complex and lengthy sales cycle opportunities Experience in working with senior management to align sales strategies and solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong influencing and negotiation skills Desirable second language of French, German, Spanish or Italian Experience in HR/EB consulting, HR technology or related fields Competency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce At Mercer, we make a difference in the lives of more than 110 million people every day by advancing their health, wealth, and careers.
