Purpose and Accountabilities:
Reporting to the Manager Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance, the Team Lead Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance (RO&A) is a member of the Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance team, within T&S Compliance.
The T&S Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance team has global responsibility for:
Completion of Compliance Risk Assessments to allow LOD1 to gain an understanding of their Compliance Risk profile and to determine any actions necessary to reduce the level of risk identified;
Maintaining a framework for Line of Defence 1 (LOD1) assurance plans to enable evidence of compliance;
All Compliance oversight and assurance sample testing activities.
The Team Lead Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance will be expected to:
Oversee the overall Risk Oversight & Assurance team on a day-to-day basis;
Develop key elements of the overall T&S Oversight & Monitoring plan on an annual basis containing a variety of oversight and assurance activities for the various lines of business;
Ensure execution of key elements of the overall T&S Oversight & Monitoring plan;
Input to the periodic review of the Compliance Risk Assessment Framework to ensure that it conforms with all aspects of applicable regulation;
Obtain evidence of compliance of T&S businesses and process owners (LOD1) by way of Risk Assessment, monitoring and oversight of LOD1’s assurance activities;
Assess and report on the level of compliance risk within T&S businesses and recommend actions for the business to reduce risks to within tolerances;
Monitor controls testing and, in some instances, conduct a sample check of controls;
Partner as a Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance SME with other parts of Compliance and other Functions, including Legal, Finance and Audit;
Assist the Manager Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance in developing the skills and competencies of the global Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance team.
No direct reports but expected to oversee and act as an escalation focal point for approximately 8 FTE globally on day-to-day basis.
Deputises for the Manager Compliance Risk Oversight & Assurance.
Expected to make significant contribution to the development of the overall Compliance Risk Assessment Framework globally.

London - Strand
Significant experience in developing and maintaining a comprehensive Compliance Risk Assessment Framework within a Financial Services or trading firm, including controls testing.
Experience in operating an Oversight & Monitoring program and annual plans as well as a proven ability to execute.
Understanding of global commodities business.
Robust understanding of categorisation and evidence of effectiveness of Compliance controls.
Clear understanding of the “3 Lines of Defence” model and segregation of duties for each LOD.
Significant experience in monitoring and oversight of LOD1’s assurance activities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders. Credible and persuasive in ensuring the needs of our complex business are fully understood, resolve conflict and deliver tough messages.
Previous management experience with a demonstrated ability to motivate, develop and drive performance and encourage positive team dynamics.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively within a global team.
