What we need from you

We’re keen to see evidence of your strong academic achievements. Alongside your Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, theoretical science, operational research or computer science, we’d ideally also hope to see an MBA or PhD in a relevant discipline.

Beyond your proven experience in applying analytical methods to real data, we’d like to talk to men and women with as many of the following on your CV:

  • Proven strong technical skills to develop advanced analytics algorithms/models.

  • Experience of hands-on code development (R, Python, MatLab, SAS).

  • Expertise in advanced analytics technology in the context of application deployment.

  • Knowledge of data source extraction (ETL) is desirable (HANA, SQL, Oracle, SharePoint, Hadoop, Spark).

  • Experience in data science delivery in a corporate environment is desirable.

  • Skilled in analytics, data design integrity, and value exploitation.

  • An awareness of lifecycle and data management is preferable.

  • An awareness of information and data strategy and governance is desirable.

  • Commercial skills are also an advantage.

Requirements:

What we need from you

We’re keen to hear from men and women with experience working with and analysing large data sets, with an ability to write code. You’ll also call on your strong academic background in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or another relevant discipline, ideally up to PhD. Plus, we’d hope to see as many of the following on your CV:

  • Expert knowledge of statistics.

  • Real-world experience in working with product and business teams.

  • Strong knowledge of Python and relevant libraries (PySpark, Pandas, etc).

  • The ability to communicate results clearly and a focus on driving impact.

  • An inquisitive nature in diving into data inconsistencies to pinpoint issues.

  • Proficiency at driving the collection of new data and refining existing data sources.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to people from other fields.

  • Proven best practices in software development and in productionising data science will be an advantage.
