Job Description

IBM's Cloud Application Migration Services (CAMS) Service Line is focused on supporting clients on their Cloud journey.

  • It encompasses Advisory, Cloud native development, App portfolio migration and modernisation, Big Data, and Security services.

  • It supports all public / private / hybrid Cloud deployments: IBM Bluemix / SoftLayer, AWS, Azure, Google, and client private.

  • It has the best Cloud developer, architect, Complex SI, Sys Ops, and delivery talent delivered through our GEO/CIC Factory model.

Within the CAMS Service Line is our Migration Factory Practice which fields globally managed factory teams that support Cloud application migration and modernisation. Cloud supported infrastructures include Bluemix (Softlayer), AWS, Azure, Google, and @Client private.

As a member of our Migration Factory Practice you will be responsible for defining and implementing application cloud migration, modernisation and rationalisation solutions for clients across all sectors. You will support mobilisation and help to oversee the quality of our programmes and services, liaise with clients and provide expert consulting services.

The successful candidate will work with clients to define and create solutions for application cloud migration, modernisation and rationalisation and have the following.

  • Demonstrable experience of migration projects including

  • Analysing and assessing existing client application portfolios and shape.

  • Supporting the integration of solutions, estimates and services engagements working with Sector teams.

  • Supporting the business and organisation transformation elements of the solution across legacy and new development applications and teams.

  • Being part of Delivery/Engagement teams and reuse and enhance Digital modernisation assets, methods and collateral.

  • Strong problem-solving skills - the ability to overcome day-to-day issues in pursuit of the end goal.

  • First-class communication skills – an ability to engage persuasively with senior stakeholders both inside IBM and with clients.

  • Excellent team-working skills.
