Job Description

If you’re a .Net developer with good business analysis skills (or vice versa), this is a brilliant opportunity to immerse yourself in an Oil & Gas trading environment – probably the most entrepreneurial and exciting area of Shell’s business.

What’s the role?

This exciting hybrid role – part business analyst, part software developer – sits in Shell’s Energy Gas & Power space and offers an opportunity to gain exposure to Gas & Power Trading and Operations. It’s the kind of competitive, commercially-driven environment where different techniques and tools can give us a valuable competitive edge. That includes bespoke or tailored software – and that’s where you come in.

Your role will be to develop and deliver software that meets our trading team’s needs. That could be new development, installing and reconfiguring third-party packages or software integration efforts. Life moves fast here so there’s no typical day – you’ll need to be keen to learn and prepared to get involved with anything from software and website design and programming to business analysis and software deployment/decommissioning.
