No. of Positions:
Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer for Trading & Supply, the Head of Advice - EMEA manages the Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) Advice team, within T&S Compliance, and is a member of the T&S Compliance Leadership Team.
The EMEA Advice team has responsibility for:
Acting as the first point of contact for all regulatory & compliance advice to the various T&S businesses (including Crude, Products, Energy, Shipping, Operations and Supply);
Providing guidance and advice to T&S businesses on the Shell Code of Conduct;
Managing the escalation of more complex regulatory & compliance or Code of Conduct queries to the relevant Compliance SME;
Reviewing new products or activities as part of any T&S new business approval process;
Assisting the T&S Compliance Training team with the allocation and delivery of training;
Providing input to Compliance Risk Assessments.
The Head of Advice - EMEA will be expected to:
Manage relationships with the T&S business leadership teams;
Keep abreast of T&S business strategy and highlight changes to the wider Compliance Leadership Team as appropriate;
Assist the T&S business in understanding the Compliance Risk implications of their business strategy and potential mitigants;
Actively participate in the EMEA T&S businesses’ Governance, Risk, Compliance & Assurance (GRCA) Committees and provide input for the overall T&S GRCA;
Provide input to the annual Compliance Risk Assessment plan and review the output of Compliance Risk Assessments;
Manage advice for T&S satellite offices, as well as hub locations within EMEA;
Partner as a Compliance Advisory SME with other parts of Compliance and other Functions, including Legal, Finance and Audit;
Champion Compliance culture in the T&S business;
Be an active and effective member of the Compliance Leadership Team;
Develop the skills and competencies of the EMEA Advice team.

London - Strand
Extensive knowledge of the EMEA Energy (Gas, Power, Carbon and Oil) and financial markets is essential.
A sound knowledge of the T&S Businesses (including Crude, Products, Energy, Shipping, Operations and Supply.
Robust understanding of global financial regulations, compliance requirements and the Shell Code of Conduct as they relate to EMEA.
Proven leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to motivate, develop and drive performance and encourage positive team dynamics.
Robust written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of an organisation, both internally and externally, and engage with a wide range of stakeholders. Credible and persuasive in ensuring the needs of our complex business are fully understood, resolve conflict and deliver tough messages.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively within a global leadership team.
