The Practice:

Talent and Organisation (T&O) is a global practice and is the area of Accenture Consulting dedicated to developing and delivering market leading change, workforce transformation and HR solutions for our clients. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to expand our capabilities specifically in HR and Workforce Experience Consulting and share our passion for HR transformation, people development, digital HR and change management.

As a group of practitioners, we work very closely with the world’s largest Products organisations which gives us a strong understanding of the challenges they face and how our strong ties in the wider Accenture community can support them.

T&O Sub-capabilities:

Within T&O: HR and Workforce Experience, the challenges we help clients address are focused in three principal areas: HR, People and Change,

HR - We enable firms to define and implement their vision and roadmap for a strategic, more digital & agile HR function which breaks traditional boundaries to drive improvements in performance and efficiency putting the workforce at the centre.

People - We help our clients transform their workforces to drive improved individual and business performance by aligning their workforce strategy to business strategy and enhancing capabilities to prepare for the increasingly unpredictable future of work.

Change - We develop client’s HR transformation capabilities to help them change the way they run their services and increase their agility using change analytics, innovating technologies (e.g. robotics) and data driven insight to meet business needs.

Role Description:

Senior Managers generally spend much of their time working on client sites, delivering a project, as well as managing extra-curricular responsibilities and practice building on the side (proposition development). You’ll be expected to support and lead business development opportunities at existing or prospective clients, providing support to MDs and wider sales team, whilst also being responsible for directing and managing the development and delivery of high-quality HR solutions for our clients.

Senior Managers responsibilities include:

  • Providing insight, innovation and thought leadership to clients on the latest thinking across HR including how to structure a HR function and drive value through HR Shared Services, Centres of Expertise and HR Business Partners; use of Digital HR and Robotics to drive efficiencies etc.

  • Planning, scoping and shaping HR solutions, helping to setting strategic direction to establish short to long term goals

  • Operating as a trusted adviser and content expert to senior / exec management levels at a client and/or within Accenture, which involves negotiating or influencing on significant matters

  • Leading multi-disciplinary and diverse teams/and or work efforts at a client or within Accenture

  • Provide strong, compelling points of views around HR solutions, digital enablers and intelligent service

  • Activity contributing to the growth of the HR and Workforce Experience business by identifying opportunities and delivering sales

  • Extending the knowledge of HR practitioners by sharing information on hot topics to help support a learning environment within the practice

Required Skills

We want you to be driven to develop yourself and others, as well as having a ‘big picture’ understanding of one or more of our focus industries (Retail, Consumer Goods, Industrial and Automotive, Travel and Life Sciences).

As well as the above, you should have expertise in the following areas:

  • Previous experience at a leading management consulting firm or internal consulting

  • Experience working on large scale transformation programme(s) – implementing target operating models; technology, change methodology and/or related people changes

  • Functional expertise in HR

  • Ability to cultivate long term relationships and grow business opportunities with our clients and prospective clients

  • Translating and communicating complex terms into simple language to influence decision making among senior stakeholders

  • Experience of the sales and budgeting process

  • Ability to operate at all stages of development lifecycle, from initial strategy projects through to full programme delivery

  • Experience working in an Agile methodology as well as more classic ‘Waterfall’ delivery approaches.

  • Experience of delivery programmes, including risk / issue management and project management

  • A good team worker with excellent client relationship and interpersonal skills

  • Well-developed analytical skills and ability to provide clarity to complex issues and synthesise large amounts of information

  • Extra-curricular or external roles displaying leadership qualities

HR Transformation Expertise:

  • Have a proven track record of leading the delivery of HR related work and associated outcomes as part of a HR Transformation programme

  • Good understanding of the key levers both operational and strategic that drives value for an HR function

  • Strategic analysis of the role of HR and future HR capabilities and trends and implementing these to improve business performance and the employee experience

  • Understanding of emerging external trends and how they impact industry sectors/businesses such as Brexit

  • Demonstrates personal insights into HR trends, solutions and industry examples

  • Proven ability to assess and deliver new HR operating models and/ or service delivery considering business demands and more efficient ways of working as well as optimising employee experience

  • Experience of assessing, selecting and delivering change enabled by HR Digital tools such as Cloud solutions such as Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle and/or other enabling technologies with such as ServiceNow, Robotics Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics and insight, virtual and augmented reality that has demonstrated value to the business.

  • Experience in one or more of the following HR operating models, intelligent HR services, digital learning, talent acquisition or people analytics and organisation flexibility

  • Have the passion and drive to continuously learn and further their expertise in HR to bring new and innovative thinking to our clients.
