Position Title Internal Communications Content Editor

AECOM is looking to recruit an
Internal Communications Content Editor to be based from our London office on an initial 6 month contract.
This role will see you reporting to the Head of Internal Communications for Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA) and be responsible for planning, editing and writing lively and engaging content for a variety of internal communication mediums, including the company intranet, internal social media platforms, videos, email newsletters, leader messages, posters and presentations.
You will collaborate with colleagues to collate relevant content, draft additional material where necessary, and present in appropriate templates.
You will work closely with the Head of Internal Communications for EMIA in support of regional delivery of company-wide communication campaigns and also liaise with the global comms team to ensure UK and Ireland content is showcased and promoted more broadly through the relevant internal comms platforms.
The role will also see you ensuring that the ongoing communication stream is fully integrated with and supportive of the broader strategic direction and narrative of the UK and Ireland business.
Along with the above we are looking for someone is able able to bring new thinking and best practice into their work along with being able to provide guidance to colleagues on internal communications content including language, tone, messaging and publication effectiveness.
To be successful in this role we would like to hear from candidates with the following;
Previous experience as a copywriter/editor within a large, preferably professional services, organisation.
Previous experience working within an internal communications team.
Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritise a variety of projects and tasks
Must have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and be a team player.
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from the business
The creative ability to storyboard internal campaigns and material that will engage and excite staff.
Good working knowledge of PowerPoint, InDesign and Photoshop (essential) and SharePoint (desirable).
Experience in delivering content through digital and video means of communication.
- Educated to degree level, ideally in English, Journalism, Communications or Marketing.
