This role would suit an accomplished IT Business Partner with big firm experience who’s looking to move in house. There’s huge challenge and influence to be found at Shell as we invest heavily in the digital strategy that will fuel our future progress.

What’s the role?

This is a bona fide consultancy role, refreshingly free of project, programme and people management. You’ll be part of a select team of IT consultants who operate in the exciting interface between the business and IT, delivering technology-enabled solutions to business problems. You’ll focus on our HR and Corporate portfolios: a broad remit that covers everything from remuneration, recruitment and development to communications, real estate, corporate security, aircraft, travel and health.

There’s huge scope to innovate and improve the way we work. On one hand you’ll shape demand, scouring the external market for trends, injecting new ideas (via whitepapers and investment proposals) and cultivating fresh perspectives in the business. On the other, you’ll be a responsive business partner, making sure that your customers’ needs and the employee experience are at the heart of the changes you make to the way we work.

What we need from you

Of graduate calibre – and ideally with an MBA (or equivalent), you’re almost certainly working as a consultant now, possibly with one of the big firms. Above all, you’ll bring us confident, collaborative stakeholder management skills (even when you’re working virtually) coupled with sharp insight into external trends. You’ve shown you can dive deep and gain strong strategic insight into your customers’ needs then call on your technical knowledge to make it crystal clear how IT and digital can drive business value.

There’s no requirement that you’ve worked in an HR or Corporate role; what’s important is that you’re conversant with the breadth of our business activity in these areas and the impact IT can make.
