Where you fit
As IT Planning Analyst, you’ll be joining our Planning and Appraisal team, with its focus on ensuring that our operating plan and estimates deliver on IT strategy, alongside meeting our strategic business requirements across Shell globally . Put simply, that means integrating and uniting the individual business needs of our Business IT function with the capabilities of our IT Engineering function.
What’s the role?
Primarily, your role will be to ensure our performance and capabilities match our business strategy and planning, by providing insightful, predictive analysis that help support decision making and drive collaboration across the business. Always with an eye on potential opportunities that can unlock more advanced analytical capabilities.
No day will be the same as you embrace a wide range of responsibilities that call upon your unique combination of analytical skills and ability to interpret data and resolve detail-focussed problems. All the while meeting multiple deadlines simultaneously.
More specifically, your duties will include:
Helping to deliver a value adding operating plan that is strategically aligned.
Working closely across various teams and functions to ensure high quality information is available to support planning and appraisal processes.
Leading improvement initiatives across the organisation with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
Championing and educating the wider community in the use of tools to deliver effective and efficient planning processes.
Co-ordinating the data acquisition and analysis of benchmarks and dashboards.
Analysing internal and external data and benchmarks.
Your excellent people skills will be crucial here, as you nurture collaborative stakeholder relations at every level, ensuring work activities are delivered promptly and effectively.
