The Solution Consultant - AMO role is responsible to meet monthly, quarterly and annual quota objectives as part of a collaborative team, working in tandem with the Account Management Sales organization for existing clients. As a member of this team you will add value throughout the sales process drawing from prior experiences and technical expertise with our product. You will be the trusted advisor to your sales partner as well as the customer. Your background and historical experiences will be put to good use in the capacity of this role. You enjoy providing application expertise to stakeholders.


  • Act as subject matter expert in sales opportunities

  • Manage and prioritize sales opportunities

  • Clearly articulate the benefits of NetSuite's applications to all levels including line of business managers and "C" level executives

  • Provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to customer requests and product enhancements as needed

  • Maintain account and opportunity updates within our internal sales force automation system to manage and prioritize sales opportunities

  • Develop, present and deliver high-impact demonstrations of the NetSuite solution on a daily basis

  • Perform needs gather and requirement analysis for new and existing customers ensuring their needs are met in the sales process

  • Collaborate and communicate with the Professional Service organization to deliver the solutions you sold to the customer.


  • 3-5 years in a pre-sales role or Senior Accounting role

  • Previous experience in sales of CRM and ERP applications.

  • Experience with financial application packages and thorough understanding of accounting principles

  • Previous application experience in one or more of the following desired:

o NetSuite, SAP, Oracle e-Business Suite, PeopleSoft, Epicor, Microsoft or

  • Solid presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Proven ability to influence others to successfully increase deal size and accelerate the buying process

  • BA/MBA or equivalent applicable work experience

Travel: Position may require travel up to 40%

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell.

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.
