Where you fit in

You’ll be joining our Energy Platform team which leads Shell’s efforts to design, develop, deliver and maintain a global energy management platform that unlocks value across Shell’s Integrated Power business. The Energy Platform team aims to enable Shell’s efforts to harness the potential in its vast fleet of customers, energy assets, and power trading capabilities to deliver value across the energy industry value chain. We are helping to connect, manage and optimize those assets in real-time. EP works across the various business units, including with Shell Energy trading.

What’s the role?

As a Product Manager, you will guide product management activities for the Energy Platform suite of Trader Support Tools, with a focus on Europe. These include tools to harness our data science assets, automation tools, and end user applications.

You’ll be contributing to and evangelizing the Energy Platform product strategy & roadmap for the Trading tools. You will contribute to Product Discovery, proactively seek customer and stakeholder input into solutions and customer requirements. You will also team with Engineering on Product Delivery for our suite of tools using your agile product management skillset.

Requirements:

What we need from you

We expect you to have a technical degree, an MBA would be a plus. Beyond that, we’re keen to hear from men and women with as much of the following on your CV:

  • Extensive experience that informs technical product management in software solutions for energy trading. Actual energy trading experience a strong plus.

  • A track-record of delivering cloud-based applications to customers and growing a user base

  • Demonstrated subject matter expert in energy markets, trading, and software tooling needed, such as market intelligence products, portfolio optimization, algorithmic trading, ETRM, and other front and back-office workflow software.

  • Understanding of the full IoT stack (device hardware, device firmware, device software, communications, cloud platform, cloud applications) and demonstrated work experience in at least one layer of the stack, as well as a holistic system view

  • Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, discovery, and delivery for software products

  • Demonstrated leadership in building strong stakeholder relationships and mitigating conflict

  • Comfort across dual-track Agile, continuous integration, extreme development, and test-driven development approaches

  • Expertise across a broad range of technologies and software user experience and interaction design

  • Expertise in working with various third-party vendor systems to design software solutions

  • Familiarity with techniques for advanced analytics, machine learning, and optimization

  • Technical degree, and MBA a plus

  • Salary: Competitive Market Rate
