Job Title:

Programme Manager

No. of Positions:

1

Job Description:

We’re seeking an experienced manager with a passion for new energy developments. With all the career opportunities you’d expect from working for a positive, global employer.

Where you fit in

This is an exciting time to be joining Shell. We’re passionate about growing new, cleaner energy solutions that are economically, environmentally and socially responsible, and playing a major part towards a low-carbon future.

That’s why we have an ambition to halve the net carbon footprint of our energy products by 2050. Our New Energies business, set up in 2016, will help us achieve this, focussing on two areas: new fuels and power.

Your role will be pivotal to our success. Sitting within Shell’s Energy Platform team, you’ll be helping to lead Shell’s efforts to design and deliver a global energy management platform that will deliver value and drive performance across Shell’s Power business.

What’s the role?

As Programme Manager, you’ll be leading the development of activities for the commercial deployment of the Energy Platform, providing your expertise and support, and enabling effective delivery that’s both collaborative and cross-functional.

You’ll be calling upon your strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking, to carve a confident path through emerging digital technologies, identify and manage risks, and agree measurable objectives. More specific duties will include:

  • Structuring implementation activity, from setting budgets to identifying cross-workstreams and resources.

  • Management of the delivery journey, ensuring activity is managed against the agreed plan, milestones and objectives.

  • Managing the transition to sustainable operations.

  • Delivering on control and assurance, ensuring a fit for purpose programme.

  • Supporting product development, strategy, architecture and commercialization.

Naturally, you’re going to have excellent, visible leadership skills, coupled with proven people and performance management experience, within a technical community. Your strong communication skills will mean you quickly nurture strong working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, across both business and technical teams.
