Job Description

IBM Automation provides clients with the opportunity to automate business operations, deriving substantial cost benefits whilst offering improved customer service through reduced error rates and speed of processing.

We are seeking experienced and accredited RPA Developers, with over 18 months experience of building end to end automation process solutions that meet business requirements. You will have an aptitude for problem solving and operated in a consultative environment, or have experience of liaising with representatives from a cross-section of organisational departments. Your experience will include working within project planning constraints, owning development solutions and have some exposure to stakeholder engagement across a range of business levels.

You will be able to evaluate candidate business processes and make recommendations with regard to their:

  • Potential and suitability for RPA

  • Work effort required for automation.

You will have experience of defining and planning the development approach for individual RPA projects as part of a wider programme. As part of this, you will have demonstrable experience of the full project lifecycle:

  • Process Definition Document(PDD)

  • Solution Design Document (SDD)

  • Development in accordance with standard design principles, conventions and best practice.

  • Unit-level and User Acceptance Testing(UAT)

  • Production of Operational Manuals

  • Transfer of automata in a production environment.

You will have experience of providing operational(live automations in a Production environment) and change management support for a range of RPA developments

Additional credit will be given to those with ability to act as a Process Controller:

  • Manage the virtual workforce; maintain deployed robotics capabilities, business volume scaling, load balancing and allocation of software robots to meet agreed SLAs with business units

  • Lead the investigation and detailed analysis of RPA Incidents and process exceptions including a strategic approach to root cause analysis.

Further credit will be given to candidates with demonstrable knowledge of typical RPA technical architecture setup; installation activities; and liaison with IT departments.

Your experience should enable you to mentor junior colleagues through the RPA training and accreditation programmes, as well as providing advice and guidance on best practice and development techniques. This is a client facing role which offers an excellent opportunity to operate on Automation projects across a number of different industries in a leading technology company.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

∙ Strong RPA or Software Development Background (C#, VB, .Net)

∙ Proven experience working with RPA Tools such as Blue Prism, Automation Anywhere, UiPath, Workfusion, Openspan etc..

∙ Process Assessment and modelling

∙ Business consulting experience in Target Operating Model and Centre of Excellence design or other areas within strategy and change consulting

∙ Lean / Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement Skills

∙ Business Process Automation, Process Design and Re-engineering (back office processes or industry processes)

∙ Knowledge and experience of process capture tools such as Blueworks live.
