Marsh is currently recruiting a Broker – Energy & Power in London. This position is for a recognized subject matter expert in Placement, who manages large projects or processes. He or she helps create & set the Placement strategy and go-to-market strategy, and supports client retention. What can you expect? • Provides support to help clients coordinate solutions, manage accounts, obtain advice and administer plans • Ensures customer questions and issues are answered correctly and efficiently by documenting and identifying trends in customer service needs • Resolves and oversees customer issues surrounding consulting, information, and software services, solutions and products • Identifies, assesses, obtains and negotiates insurance carrier coverage policies to meet client needs • Provides ongoing support to management by gathering and managing information on market practices with regards to general trends, pricing and underwriting policies • Coordinates with advisors and client executives to document, evaluate and select insurance carrier coverage quotes What is in it for you? • Good work life balance with a competitive salary • Comprehensive benefits programs including: excellent pension contributions, private health insurance, tuition assistance, pension, employee assistance program, career mobility, employee network groups, volunteer opportunities, and other programs • 26 days’ holiday with the option to buy or sell up to 5 days per year We will count on you to: • Recognized subject matter expert • Implements strategic goals • Develops and implements new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results • Significantly improves on existing processes and practices • Communication with executive leadership • Manages large projects or processes • Minimal oversight from manager • Coaches, reviews and delegates work to members of the team • Influences others within and outside of the job function regarding policies, practices and procedure What you need to have: • Broker’s License • Extensive Brokerage experience • Formulates & instructs placement strategy by utilizing risk expertise and knowledge of industry and carriers to develop placement solutions that meet complex client needs • Devises & develops methods for the go-to-market strategy and provides input & participates on pricing of services supporting client retention and new business production • Guides strong working relations with practice, Insurance markets, clients, carriers and or underwriters to create innovative approaches to unique client needs and provide cohesive client service • Audits and finalizes commission structure with underwriter in accordance with client direction and agreement • Achieves a thorough understanding of changing insurance and risk market conditions and informs client teams, clients and carriers of major developments affecting various types of coverage • Applies advanced knowledge to the firm’s product lines by active participation in internal networks • Devises new products and innovative solutions that address complex client needs • Leads complex placement/technical support activities on big accounts, such as ensuring procedural compliance, reviewing data and updating annual renewal exhibits, maintaining accurate placement system entries, to ensure contract execution as required • Consults managements on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and drives development of solutions to drive excellence in customer service • Instructs the submission of coverage specifications and obtains quotes from carriers based upon the “assist, advise, and assume” transaction model • Consults with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production • Inspects the binding of coverage and is responsible for the accuracy of placement binders About Marsh Marsh is the world’s leading insurance broker and risk adviser.
