We are seeking a talented and experienced individual as Senior Power Fundamentals Analyst, to join the Fundamental Analytics Team, as part of Data Analysis and Systematic Trading unit within Shell Energy Europe and Environmental Products.
The scope of the Fundamental Analytics Team is to provide data, tools and analysis to the entire SEE Trading community and to provide specific fundamental trading strategies that add value directly to the bottom line. This team will ensure that the analysis provided is directly linked to the proprietary decision making within the organization. It also coordinates the distribution and development of tools as well as insights on a cross commodity basis across the Trading Teams.
Key accountabilities include but not limited to:
Fundamental analysis of European power markets such as CWE area, UK, Italy, Spain and Nordic.
Closely working with power traders to come up with fundamental views for both the short and long term.
Creation of trading strategies in flatprice, timespread, location spread and cross-commodity trading.
Collaborate with modelling analyst and developers to improve Shell’s power analysis framework.
Steer developers in fulfilling the data requirement of the desk.

The successful candidate is required to have:
Bachelor’s degree in Math/Science/Engineering/Economics
5 years of experience analyzing European power market and building power market models at a utility, trading house, fund or energy consultancy.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
Strong programming skills in VBA, SQL and preferably Python.
Strong communication skills and proven ability to collaborate across teams.
