We’re looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for change. This is an analytical role that will give you the chance to make your mark on Shell’s direction. Translating and integrating business strategy into IT initiatives. Whilst continually developing your professional and personal skills.

Where you fit

You’re going to be a vital part of our IT Strategy and Integration team, with its core aim of making sure IT strategy fits with strategic business requirements across IT globally . That means using your talent for strategy and analysis to combine both the individual business needs with the capabilities of our IT Engineering function, and in turn aligning this with other IT teams.

This is an exciting role that you can truly make your own, defining and delivering specific initiatives, whilst you also galvanise and integrate the resources and team skills available to you.

What’s the role?

As our Strategy and Integration Analyst, you’ll bring your unique mix of business know-how and expertise of strategic integration to grow and embed an understanding of the business and organisational core strategies for IT and IT technology. Specifically, playing a key part in translating business needs into IT actions and products.

Expect a wide range of responsibilities covering multiple aspects of IT strategy. For instance, you’ll take a lead on defining the work and information required from others and ensuring this is delivered. Alongside this, you’ll conduct strategic analysis of operating models and propose improvements in organisational efficiency.

Your effective communication skills will be essential to the role. From acting as a confident change agent in the organisation, to supporting teams and influencing stakeholders across the business, right up to senior level.

More specific duties will include:

  • Contributing to data acquisition and analysis of benchmarks and dashboards.

  • Analysing internal and external data and benchmarks.

  • Determining and understanding internal and external strategies, tends and challenges.

  • Developing and maintaining IT strategic roadmaps

What we need from you

We’re keen to hear from men and women with the right mix of strategic and analytical talent –someone with proven experience in analysing issues and proposing resolutions. Beyond your degree and an ability to work independently, we’d also hope to see as many of the following on your CV:

  • An understanding and experience in the formulation/development of IT and/or organisational strategy.

  • An awareness of communication and embedding practices and the application in the context of embedding strategy.

  • A demonstrable ability to prioritise multiple activities and manage a range of global stakeholders, often virtually.

  • Proven project management knowledge and a track record in project delivery.

  • Ideally, some organisation consultancy experience.
