Where you fit

You’re going to be joining our Global Change function , with a primary focus on leading IT-driven business change that will meet strategic goals across multiple programmes and projects. Ultimately equipping the business with the skills to better manage and sustain change.

Working in a fast moving, rapidly changing and dynamic environment, and reporting to the Transformational Change leadership team, you’ll be leading a development team specialising in transformational change, helping to shape and deliver change that has a high impact on our business.

What’s the role?

As Transformational Change Manager, your visible leadership will be vital to the job, as you challenge current practices and seek innovative ways to nurture and deliver change management and integrated transformational change plans.

You can expect responsibilities that range widely, from managing change management deliverables and activities to collaborating with colleagues leading change across other areas of Shell’s business. With a key challenge to drive business outcomes through measurable change management and business transformation interventions.

More specific duties might also include supporting the development of account plans and reports and advising and coaching more junior change managers in order to build capability.

Finally, your excellent communication skills will see you nurturing trusted relationships with a range of stakeholders to successfully drive the change agenda. From business and IT leaders to IT Programme and Project Managers. Whilst your strong leadership and management skills will help you create an environment where team members feel motivated, engaged and able to grow and develop in their roles.

What we need from you

We’re keen to speak to men and women with expertise in transformational change and change management, with significant leadership experience.

Along with a relevant degree, and ideally, post graduate qualifications, we expect you’ll be the kind of person who thrives on business outcomes, who is confident and able to influence effectively across organisational levels. Beyond that, we’d hope to see as many of the following on your CV:

  • Good knowledge of leading and managing technology-led change and technology adoption.

  • An ability to think independently and objectively.

  • Proven examples of your resilience and ability to manage challenge and resistance.

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills.

  • Skilled in coaching and developing teams.

  • Skilled in Agile IT management and Agile IT project delivery

  • An affinity with and understanding of the consequences of IT management and IT delivery.
