Our workplace practice is constantly evolving, we work across sectors and scales including workplace, universities, sports stadiums, parliaments, museums, and cities. Our services include strategic briefing and planning of the built environment, building analysis, interior design, service design, user experience and change management.
Experience and Skills:
Led and developed key client accounts
Managed complex client relationships (MSAs, frameworks, global delivery, multiple-stakeholder projects, etc.)
Led on marketing activities including following up on leads, proposal writing and pitches; networking at events
Mentoring and People Development:
Source of workplace knowledge and experience for team
Led on initiatives for staff capability, training and skills development
Reviews quality of outputs
Mentored and supported staff in their personal and professional development
Built a strong sense of community to foster a cohesive team culture
Led and managed workplace projects successfully from inception to handover (design implementation) on all aspects (resources, budget, client relationship, deliverables, etc.)
Experienced in developing strategic briefs for workplaces on various scales (global delivery, global guidelines, campus, buildings, etc.)
Highly competent at facilitating user and client engagement activities (e.g. interviews and workshops)
Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities effectively, often under time pressures
Managing fees, team resourcing and profit levels on projects.
Supporting workplace strategy directors in winning work and leading pitches
Working under director guidance to write fee proposals
Attending marketing events
Managing profitability on projects and managing people across projects
Line management of more junior consultants
Thought Leadership and Workplace Expertise:
Keen interest and deep knowledge of all things related to workplace
High-level of expertise in delivering workplace and / or briefing projects
Developed methodologies and tools to improve workplace strategy process
Exhibited innovation in developing workplace tools and/or delivering projects more effectively or efficiently
Ability to think strategically – an in depth understanding of client challenges and how workplace strategy and design can address them
Evidence of having produced high-quality content on projects for clients
Public speaking at industry events and / or publication of articles and research
Strategic Thinking and Analytical Skills:
Ability to think from both an organisational demand and building supply perspective with a good understanding of the relationship between the two
Ability to draw out the ‘story’ from data and present it in a clear and concise way
Equally adept at helping clients define a vision and creating an actionable plan to get there
Experience in Workplace Strategy
Demonstrable experience in leading complex workplace projects
Evidence of strong leadership and mentoring skills
Excellent written, verbal and visual communication skills - able to convey complex ideas and messages in a simple and clear way
Responsible and self-assured
Preference for AutoCAD
Preference for space planning /(architectural) design background
Strong graphic skills – polished and professional output
- BSc/ MSc Degree or equivalent in a relevant Design or Social Sciences discipline
