The primary focus of a Sales Consultant (Pre-sales) is to become an expert in a core set of Oracle products and solutions and to present the value proposition and benefits of our solutions to our partners, prospects and customers and internally to our sales force

As a Senior Sales Consultant you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision, through on-line/in person sales efforts. Acts as a technical resource for less experienced Internet Sales Consultants. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships. Support sales team in online/in-person selling efforts with minimal supervision. Develop and deliver proposed solution to customers. Approximate percentage of face to face interaction with customers to perform responsibilities is 10%

Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years vendor (sales and marketing) experience. 5 years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

Our Program focuses on growth, equality and innovation, by offering New Professional Solution Engineers (NPSEs) the inside track to a growing career field at the intersection of both Sales and Business Application Technology within our North America Applications Solution Engineer organization.

The Hub Onboarding Lead will be responsible for program execution and evaluation. This hub leader will support the development of teams of high energy new professionals beginning their careers as Solution Engineers (SE) within Oracle North America Applications (NAA). Your focus is to manage the day-to-day professional development of teams located in one of Oracle s core hubs (Austin, Burlington or Santa Monica), equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to help fuel the Oracle ecosystem. The focus of your efforts will be the development of each NPSE, within the context of their role as Application Solution Engineers. This will include technical, product and sales skills enablement, with an emphasis on product knowledge, solution selling skills, presenting and demoing skills and strategic account management.

Your Impact:

You'll be responsible for leading hub based new-hires through a rigorous onboarding training program. Your responsibility includes guiding these teams of professionals through a structured curriculum, evaluating their performance and ensuring their successful on-boarding and readiness for deployment to the field.

As the Program Leader, you ll work closely with the SE management to drive the appropriate guided learning paths that gradually shift NPSE s from curriculum based learning to customer facing on-the-job training. You'll establish the culture of the team to create a sense of community among each new hire cohort. You will help develop and manage not only their day-to-day enablement activities, but will maintain consistent communication with key stakeholders like front line managers and upper leadership. You will evaluate, monitor, and share updates on individual progress in the program to ensure the goals of the program are met.-?xml:namespace prefix = "o" /->

Your key responsibility will be the successful on-boarding and professional development of each member of the NPSE team.The ideal candidate for the role will have a track record of success in similar roles for high performing software vendors. Possessing outstanding intellect and interpersonal skills, and driven to succeed, you will:

Provide day-to-day guidance, mentoring and support for each NPSE, as they move through the learning curriculum

Assist with the development of training assets and curriculum, including presentations, case studies, workshops, etc.

  • 3 years of successful experience as a Solutions Engineer.

  • Proven track record of leadership and mentoring, including enablement and training initiatives.

  • Proven track record of building and executing a successful project or program.
