TheMaintenance Supervisoris responsible for the in-house maintenance and repair of all NII and other supported equipment identified under the CBP ILS contract.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with various functional areas in evaluating existing processes and identifying process improvement opportunities to drive business results (i.e. cost reductions, operational efficiencies, adequate controls, etc.).
Ensure employees in Intermediate Repair Facility areas follow established procedures and generate finished work products under time and budgetary constraints and ensure service yields the expected outcome and meets established goals.
Assist in definition of business requirements and development of project plans.
Anticipate problems and work to mitigate risks.
Interface with contract managers and customers.
Schedule, direct and supervise Field Support Technician and in-house Repair Technicians.
As time permits assist with IRF repair workload
Coordinate and oversee sub-contract technicians when applicable
Assist with all on-demand maintenance, relocation and upgrade projects assigned by the Government. This includes email/telecom liaison with the vendors, writing Statements of Work and requesting quotes, evaluating quotes, sending quotes to COR for approval, managing the ensuing projects and all email correspondence required.
Act as single point of contact and POC for handheld equipment.
Assist Operations Manager with repair and tracking of handheld equipment sent to outside vendors
Review estimates and quotes for repairs and other maintenance actions.
Determine quantities and types of repair parts and consumables required for repairable actions.
Determine tools and test equipment required for electronic technicians and field service technician.
Track handheld equipment orders in Maximo to watch overdue repair orders and other disparities:
Work special high priority tasks as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities Supervises, directs and mentors all in house maintenance functions and personnel. Liaison with Logistics, and Warehouse inventory management for purchasing new parts and supplies.
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Bachelor’s Degree from accredited college or university in business, logistics or related field. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
5 years related maintenance support experience preferably in dynamic large-scale contracting environment.
PMI Certification desired.
Will be required to pass a CBP Background Investigation (BI)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated project management skills.
Ability to plan, organize, schedule and direct varied programs and tasks involved within the daily activities of contract.
Must have good writing, grammar skills
Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience
