As part of the LA Metro Business Line multi-disciplinary leadership, AECOM is actively seeking a visionary and dynamic leader for our Asset Advisory Services in Los Angeles, California, with the primary responsibility to lead and grow Asset Advisory services within a multi-disciplinary Architecture, Engineering, Interiors, Planning (Design Planning & Economics) & Consulting (Strategy +) business, with a focus on positioning AECOM as a fully integrated industry leader in Asset Advisory Services.
AECOM’s national Asset Advisory team provides complete end-to-end asset management services across a wide-array of asset types to include buildings & infrastructure, transportation/rail, water, wastewater, and energy. Vertical markets include: Cities, Governments (Federal & Federal Civilian), Corporate Commercial, Aviation, Justice, Healthcare, Sports, Themed Entertainment, Mission Critical/Advanced Technologies, Industrial, Manufacturing, and High-Tech.
This individual will be responsible for driving innovation and excellence in Asset Advisory Services thought leadership, design excellence, project management, and technical and delivery success for local, regional and global clients.
Specific services include: asset management plans and roll-out strategies (including Smart Cities); intelligent infrastructure analysis; asset inventorying; facility condition assessments (FCAs); asset management business process and software system review and integration strategies; program and project management; capital planning; and technology implementation services.
The successful candidate will have relevant experience in managing a variety of asset management projects and effectively managing and fostering staff growth. The candidate is also expected to be a strong leader, helping to grow the Asset Advisory practice locally and nationally.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Overseeing all project-related technical, financial, and client satisfaction needs for a variety of client types including: federal, municipal, commercial, transit and other clients
Managing multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex asset management projects
Mentoring junior and mid-level staff
Supporting asset management business development efforts
Managing field assessment work of building and/or utility systems
Acting as principal-in-charge of a large/multi-disciplined project /consultant team
Together with regional leadership, establish project scopes, work plans and work schedules.
Successfully delivering assignments/projects within the clients’ budget / schedule requirements
Successfully delivering project scope and fee, delivering targeted profit to the firm interfaced with project managers on schedules, project review meetings, issues management and client expectations
Bachelor of Science in Architecture, Master planning, Engineering (or related field)
10+ years of experience in asset management, facilities management or similar
Experience and skill in strategic business development, client relationships and driving sales and revenue
The ability to support and lead business development activities through early client interaction, “scope of work” development, interviews, and on-going client maintenance interface
An ability to travel and/or work remotely with teams
Demonstrated client service skills
Demonstrated project management experience in one more of the areas listed in the job summary
Frequent, potentially long-term (2-3 week) travel for field assessments required
Must have strong familiarity with one or more of the following programs: MS Excel, MS Access, MS Project, BUILDER, Maximo, TRIRIGA, INFOR EAM or similar asset management programs
Experience with operations & maintenance and/or intelligent infrastructure solution roll-outs is a plus
Professional Architecture or Engineer’s license in the State of California (or multiple states)
